Brief

Create a visual for a flash promotion using a playful motif.

Solution

Scrabble was the inspiration for this visual, whereby 2 different phone colours connect to form some complementary copy.

This visual succeeds in meeting the clients request for a playful theme not just by the visual motif, but also by its eccentric colour scheme.


Brief

Create a visual concept for a phone promotion using the selected headline.

Solution

The art direction is inspired by the childhood activity of drawing on steamy windows (when it rains outside).

The visual communicates that the S Pen has been used to illustrate a couple dancing in the rain—which demonstrates how much better it is to use the S Pen as opposed to drawing with your finger.

The couple dancing in the rain are a metaphor for being positive when things aren‘t great (i.e. the weather, which the headline refers to).


Brief

Create a visual concept for a watch strap promotion.

Solution

I created the motif of the product placed upon a circular texture (of the watch strap), the intention was for a typography based solution whereby the motif would represent the letter "O".

I then briefed the copywriters to come up with a headline whereby 2 separate words would contain the letter "O".

In this instance, the headline is the visual.


Brief

Visualise a powerbank & microSD card bundle promotion with a summer theme.

Solution

Because all 3 products must be in the visual, it made sense to integrate 2 of the products into the screen of the phone to maximise the size of all product images.

The integration of the products with the ice lolly and lollipop—make the advertisement visually interesting and attention grabbing.


Brief

Create a visual concept for a bluetooth headphones promotion targeting students.

Solution

Students are familiar with the end of term performance sheet—a sheet of which in this instance, has been adapted to communicate features (instead of school subjects) and grades of the bluetooth headphones.

The details and theme make the advert interesting and somewhat relatable to the target audience.


Brief

Visualise a TV promotion whereby bigger screen dimensions result in bigger cash back rewards.

Solution

As an enthusiast of Economics, my first idea was this diagram concept (whereby if you increase factor X then factor Y also increases to create a new equilibrium).

The TV was integrated into the visual by using its silhouette as the starting point of the graph.


Brief

Visualise a phone and bluetooth speaker bundle promotion.

Solution

Firstly, I chose to communicate from the angle of the waterproof USP of the 2 products.

This theme directed me to creating a composition whereby the 2 products would be positioned to create a wellington boot.

The water drops on the products, the angled boot and the shadow—suggest movement through the rain.


Brief

Create a trade-in key visual to inform people that they can swap their old phones in for a new Galaxy phone.

Solution

The old phone leaves the visual whereas the new phone enters.

The new phone has an arrow that points towards the Samsung logo to suggest that the new phone will be a  Samsung phone.


Brief

Create an interesting Black Friday visual.

Solution

When writing out the basic message, I realised that adding the integers of the year together would equate to a discount figure of 10.

So I made the basic message loud and clear, then I slipped in the mini maths detail for fun. People would realise that this is the only year that you could have this math trick amount to a sum of 10.
